Why consider a fiberglass pool?

We know that homeowners today have busy lifestyles. Maintaining your pool then should take as little of your free time as possible, which makes Hawaiian Fiberglass Pools a terrific choice. What are some of the other reasons for choosing fiberglass?

Fiberglass pools are simpler to care for then gunite or vinyl counterparts. The smooth surface of a Hawaiian Fiberglass Pools eliminates the need for acid baths or extensive scrubbing. This results in fewer chemicals to keep the water in balance. The smoother surface of a fiberglass pool also means water circulates faster, saving money in electric bills and chemical costs over the lifetime of your pool.

A fiberglass pool is gentle on your skin. Painful abrasions from rough surfaces and snagged swimsuits are a thing of the past. Built-in seating creates a comfortable place to unwind at the end of a long day.

Peace of mind. You will know with a Hawaiian Fiberglass Pool, help is never far away. Each of Hawaiian Fiberglass Pools comes with a limited lifetime warranty from the manufacturer. Other brands of pools are guaranteed by the contractor, who may or may not be in business if a problem arises. A copy of the manufacturer's warranty is available from Suncrest Fiberglass Pools, your local authorized Hawaiian Fiberglass Pools dealer.

How is a fiberglass pool made?

A fiberglass pool is manufactured from the "inside-out". A colored resin is sprayed over a waxed mold, creating the smooth inside surface color. Chopped fiberglass strand is sprayed into a stream of Vinyl Ester resin over the exterior. Several layers of fiberglass sheets, saturated with resin, are hand rolled by our Fiberglass technicians to ensure each layer bonds properly. Then we plumb your Hawaiian Fiberglass Pool to your specification. Generally, this includes a skimmer, main drain and return inlet fittings that are all installed using marine quality silicone designed for underwater use. Optional items, such as light niches or automatic pool sweep fittings, can also be pre-plumbed.

What are the steps in installation?

Installation of a Hawaiian Fiberglass Pool is as easy as 1,2,3.

    1. Once the necessary permits are issued, installation begins with the layout of the pool. The pool's perimeter is staked out and the hole is dug to the rough specifications provided with each pool.

    2. The hole dug, it is then groomed with plaster sand. The wiring for the pump and other equipment is completed. A crane and your pool should arrive mid-afternoon.

    3. Your new Hawaiian Fiberglass Pool will be delivered on a specially designed trailer by our team of professional drivers and pilot cars. When the pool arrives it is plumbed with PVC and lifted off the trailer and into the hole. Once level, it is backfilled and filled with water. The installed pool is allowed to set 3 - 4 days before the pool decking is poured. The entire installation process can be completed in 4 weeks or less!
